d3d_99251_com.dat = comments file for ITER Profile Database submission Tokamak: D3D Pulse number: 99251 Shot description, purpose of the shot: ELMy H-mode Contact persons: Robert Budny (budny@princeton.edu) Institution: General Atomics Date of shot: 19990416 Times of interest = 2.2s for comparison with ctr-Ip rotation 99251 Analysis codes: TRANSP and EFIT (for plasma boundary) Run number: 99251B04 done at PPPL, available via mdsplus Date of analysis: 20050518 TRANSP run by Robert Budny Assumptions for analysis: Up/down asymmetric boundary given by EFIT, lower X-point Charge Exchange analysis of all available times from 1.5-3.5s done by Rich Groebner in 2005 Radiation profile from inversion of bolometry measurements Additional information: Shot 99251 has been used in rho* and plasma rotation scans. It is a close match for the co-Ip rotation shot 82205. The D-NBI lasted from 1.5 to 4.0s, and was modulated between 4.6 and 7.3 MW. The voltages of the 3 sources were around 75 kV The directions of the toroidal field and plasma current were in the reversed Ip D3D directions - Bz and Ip clockwise viewed from above. The transp calculations have been done on a 80 zone radial grid for the thermal plasma. In d3d_99251_2d.dat, NM1 is the trace thermal H density, NM2 is the main ion D density, and NM3 is the impurity C density. NFAST1 is the deuterium beam ion density.
