Tokamak: T-10 Pulse number: 33965 Contact person: Natalia Kirneva, Alexander Chudnovskiy Institution: Kurchatov Institute Date of shot: 20020511 Analysis codes: ASTRA Run number: Date of analysis: 20040526 ASTRA run by Natalia Kirneva Assumptions made for analysis: The dataset files were prepared from ASTRA run taking into account the experimental density and electron temperature profiles and experimental values of ZEFF and VSURF. Ion temperature profile was calculated in assumption of neoclassical ion heat transport in ohmic phase and neoclassical ion heat transport multiplied by 2.3 at the ECRH phase (this agrees with experimentally measured neutron yield and stored energy values). BEPDIA in 0-D file was taken from diamagnetic measurements. Ohmic power in 0-D file is POHM=IPL*VSURF. QOHM in 2-D file was calculated using experimental electron temperature and ZEFF value (constant across the plasma column) and neoclassical conductivity, which gives good agreement with T-10 experiments WTOT was calculated using experimental electron temperature and density profiles and calculated ion temperature profile. PRAD value given in 0-D file reflects total radiation losses measured by Pyroelectric Bolometer from both inside the limiter area and the limiter shadow area. Shot description, purpose of the experiment: Confinement time density scan. Publication: Kirneva N.A., Esipchuk Yu.V. et al, in Proc. 19th IAEA Conf., Lyon, 2002, IAEA-CN-94/EX/P3-01 Esipchuk Yu.V., Kirneva N.A., et al, Plasma Phys. Contr. Fusion 45 (2003) 793 Additional information: T-10 shot #33965 (2.5 T, .20 MA) is an L-mode shot with medium plasma density in the scan. NEL is about of 65% of Greenwald density. On-axis 2nd harmonic EC waves were used for additional plasma heating (absorbed ECR power was of 0.9MW). The EC waves (140 GHz, X-mode) were launched along R direction from LFS. Plasma is deuterium. Data in the 0-D file present 2 time slices corresponding to Ohmic (t=0.5456s) and ECRH L-mode (t=0.7437s) steady-state conditions.
